This lovely black and white 16th century home offers old-fashioned hospitality combined with every modern convenience. Accommodates large families, double or single bedrooms, all en-suite.
We are fortunate enough to be close to the village shop and post office. Within easy reach of excellent eating-places and walking distance of the local pub, where food is also available.
Local Area
Located in the village of Knockin, one of the prettiest in this part of Shropshire it dates back to the 12th century, Cadfael's time (Ellis Peters fictional detective monk).
The surrounding Welsh Marches countryside is an area of natural beauty, which remains quiet and unspoilt. It provides ample opportunity for rambling, horse riding, fishing and golf.
Nearby are the historic, medieval towns of Shrewsbury and Chester. Chirk and Powis castles are close. The Shropshire Lake District and Ironbridge, (the "Birthplace of Industry") are within easy driving distance, as is Snowdonia, Manchester International Airport is only an hours drive away, Holyhead and the Irish ferry, 2 hours.
From the A5 two miles north of Nescliffe turn towards Knockin. In village go past pub and shop on left; Top Farm is the last house on the left. |
